Aleksandar Randjelovic
Aleksandar Randjelović is a composer of applied music, specializing in film, TV, and the video game industry.
Among his works of particular note is the music for the movie “Saint George Shoots The Dragon” directed by Srdjan Dragojević, for which he received stellar reviews from both movie critics and audiences. This movie was a contender from Serbia for the Oscar Awards of 2009 and also director Srdjan Dragojević won the award for “Best Artistic Contribution” on Montréal World Film Festival.
Randjelovic`s music is featured in the movie “Travelator” by Dusan Milić, together with the music from Dieter Meier of the Swiss electronica band “Yello”. His career includes work on the music for the video game “Genesis Rising”, published by the Canadian company Dreamcatcher. Music for this video game won superlative reviews from the most prominent magazines in the game industry and fans of game music.
Randjelović has worked on numerous films as an assistant to Mr. Goran Bregovic, one of Europe’s most renowned film composers. Many of these films were nominated and won awards for best film score at international film festivals. One of his latest achievements in cooperation with Mr. Goran Bregović was the score for “Lievre de Vatanen” directed by Marc Riviere featuring Christopher Lambert. Mr. Randjelović also played a major role in the orchestration of Bregović’s music for the ballet “Queen Margo”. While working on these projects he encountered various ethnic instruments and the music of Balkan. These powerful influences often resonate in his music.
He graduated from Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade (University of Arts in Belgrade) in Sound Design and Recording. .
